This Trek is an adventure that takes you to the stunning high-altitude meadow of Dev Kyara, situated in Uttarakhand's Sankri range. This trek covers a vast 4 km wide meadow nestled between the Rupin and Supin Valleys, running parallel to the Har ki Dun Valley. Trekkers can marvel at the breathtaking views of Ranglana, Daowdu and various other 5000ner’s, making the Dev Kyara Trek an unforgettable experience.

During the trek, you will pass through the Obra Gad Valley and Dev Kyara Bugyal, two of the most pristine areas of the Garhwal Himalayas.

The trail also takes you through typical Himalayan villages like Jakhol, Sankri and Kotgaon that are rich in culture, providing trekkers with a glimpse of local life. Along the way, you will be surrounded by thick pine and oak forests and cross the raging Dibra Gad river, a tributary of the Supin river.

The Dev Kyara trek offers a stunning path to witness the wonders of nature, including the flowing Dibra Gad river, enchanting pine and oak forests,Raukai Tal (5) breathtaking waterfalls, snow-capped peaks, and picturesque meadows. Every step of the way promises an adventure-filled journey.

DAY 1- Dehradun to Jakhol 

The first day starts with a small reception in Dehradun after which we start our journey to Jakhol. Theroute to Jakhol is very scenic. You pass through Mussoorie, Kempty Falls, Nainbagh, Naitwar and manymore places passing through the beautiful Shivalik. From Purola the Lesser Himalayan terrain open ups,the route entirely changes from here. The pine forests become thick, Rhododendrons become acommon sight, one can also find oak and deodar forests in between.

The smell of the forests justmesmerizes you and you can fell all the motion sickness gone away.In evening you reach Jakhol, which is a small hamlet in the Uttarkashi district, which is nestled inbetween a huge and dense pine and deodar forest. The traditional wooden carved house are a commonsight in the village.You retire for the night in the village after having dinner.

DAY 2 - Jakhol to Obra Thatch

From Jakhol after having breakfast we take a short ride to Boincha. From Boincha we start first leg oftrek to Obra Thatch. Boincha is a convergence point of two rivers Dibra and Supin. The trail beginstowards the right, following the Dibra gad river. Although this day’s trek is relatively easy, itsrecommended to take it slow on day one. After a thirty-minute walk, you will reach a concrete bridgethat crosses the Dibra River. Once you cross the bridge, there’s a small section of steep ascent that joinsanother trail.

After a while you will return to the main trail on the other side, crossing another bridge.The trek from this point onwards is relatively straight forward, and a gradual ascent to the campsite.there are several picturesque spots to relax and enjoy along the Dibra Gad river. The campsite, ObraThatch, is situated in an open field at the heart of the valley. There is a small wooden temple of ObraDevi next to one of the huts built by the villagers. You will spend the night in the tents.

After breakfast we leave Obra campsite. You enter a captivating and deep pine forest that requires
constant uphill climbing. The forest floor is covered with long grass, making the trek more engaging until
you pass through the forest area. Since it’s a long day it is advisable to split it into two parts, the first
part, before lunch, is relatively uneventful except for a few sections with pine and maple trees. If you

plan to go on this trek before the monsoon season, you can also encounter strawberry bushes. In a small
opening you retire for the night.

DAY 3 - OBRA THATCH TO HIMRI THATCH

DAY 4 - HIMRI THATCH TO BHIVA

Today, after climbing up the steep boulders, the scenery changes entirely, the valley opens up to a vastopen ground surrounded by the massive mountains. Snowcapped peaks start to appear in the distance.The stunning campsite named Himri Thatch is where you stay for the night. It is a sprawling meadow. Onthe other side of the valley, a picturesque forest of birch trees awaits. The combination of the birchtrees and long grassy glades is enchanting. After a long and tiring day, retire for the night under a sky fullof stars.

DAY 5 - BHIVA TO DEV KYARA

The journey from the early morning view to the Devkyara campsite feels like a fairy tale come true. The sight of the first rays of the sun falling on the verdant green fields of Bhiva will leave you awe-inspired.

As you commence your trek, the open valleys

gradually reveal glorious lush green meadows at the
center of the valley, surrounded by colossal mountains that resemble walls. One of the significant
highlights of the trek will be the numerous waterfalls that you will encounter. These waterfalls are not
small, nor are they big, but there are over twenty of them, and they will keep appearing until you reach the Devkyara campsite. The closer you get to Mt. Ranglana, the more you will walk. At some points, the Dibra River will flow right next to the trail you are walking on. If the season is right, you will walk through endless fields of flowers, including red, yellow, and even blue ones. Before reaching the Devkyara campsite, there are a few sections with boulder crossings that you need to navigate.

DAY 6 - DEV KYARA TO HIMRI THATCH

Next morning you can witness the early morning sun over the vast meadow while enjoying a scrumptious breakfast. From there, they will embark on a comfortable descent down to the Himri thach campsite, with stunning views all around. Arriving at the  Himri campsite by lunchtime, you will be treated to a delicious meal and can spend the evening and night gathering around a cozy bonfire and enjoying hot snacks. It's an experience that you won't soon forget

DAY 7 HIMRI THATCH TO JAKHOL

After an exciting trek, the time has come to descend to Boincha, which is the starting point of our journey. Our bypass vehicle will be waiting to transport us to Jakhol, where we can settle into a beautifully architectured homestay. This is a perfect opportunity to reflect and reminiscence about our trekking experience. In the evening, we will enjoy a delicious supper together and create beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.

DAY 8

JAKHOL TO DEHRADUN

As the sun rises, we enjoy a hearty breakfast before packing up and starting our journey back from Jakhol to Dehradun. With our memory banks momentarily full with the experience of our adventure, we can reflect on the incredible sights and sounds of the trek. It's been an unforgettable journey that we will cherish for years to come.

4. Alpine 4 men tents (Triple sharing), good quality sleeping bags and matteresses, toilet tents, utensils.

5. Team leader, chef and support staff. Porters and mules to carry common luggage.

6. Transport from Jakhol to Boicha and back to Boicha

7. Transport from Dehradun to Jakhol and vice versa.

EXCLUSIONS

 1. Meals during road transit i.e. meals during travel between Dehradun and Jakhol and vice versa.


 2.Any kind of medical Insurance.

 3.Any personal expenses like extra food, gears etc.


 4. Any expense not specified in the inclusion list.


 5. Carriage of personal luggage during the trek.
