Khedmi is a village situated in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. It lies between the towns of Purola and Mori. The village is agriculture centric with most of the families having farming as their prime occupation, the second being cattle rearing. Apple farming has become quite extensive in the past few years. It has several houses with slate roofs. With time people are shifting towards tourism with several families, turning their homes into home stays and give the tourists a taste of authentic village life.

DAY 1:- DEHRADUN TO KHEDMI

We meet at a pre- decided location in Dehradun and will embark upon our journey, together. We will be driving on beautiful hilly roads with several bends that takes you across one of the most beautiful hillstations of Shivaliks, Mussourie. We will have our breakfast after kempty fall. Around 20 km from here we will cross a bridge ( Yamuna Pul) after which we will be driving all the way to Naugaon where Yamuna river flows to our left.

Lunch will be en route. Purola is the last main town and 27 kms from here, we take a sharp bend at Kharsari and from here our destination is another 12 km away. We will alight the vehicle at the roadhead and reach our home stay after a small, yet beautiful hike of 2 km. Khedmi is a small village with tens of houses made with Kathkuni architecture which makes it earthquake resistant and its wooden flooring and walls make it temperature friendly. You are free to roam around in the nearby areas and we retire after a delicious pahadi meal, in the home stay.

DAY 2:- A DAY IN KHEDMI

We start our day with a local temple visit and a Yoga session in a quiet idyllic setting where you can see a variety of Flora and birds. The village's quaint nature and its limited accessability makes it a good place to detox yourself from hustle and bustle of city. After that we will come to the homestay for a hearty pahaadi breakfast that includes Mandua roti (a bread made of local millets that is gluten free) and local leafy vegetables and sum it up with a hot cup of tea.

Now we venture out for village tour where you can get the taste of traditional farming by helping locals in de-weeding/ploughing or harvesting (depending on the time of season you're there for). We can also witness the architecture, places of historical importance for village etc. You can try your hands on weaving under the guidance of local craftsmen.

Lunch will be served hot, at the home stay. In the evening, you can venture out, roam around in the village and get to know about the local culture by talking to the people and listening to the stories by the old people have to tell. We will return to the home stay where you can help your host prepare a meal or simply spend some leisure time around.

Lunch point will be en route. The tour comes to an end as we reach the valley of Dehradun in the evening.
