WINTER CAMP DEHRADUN

At Traveloft, we understand that as a parent, you want the best for your child. That's why we've designed our winter camps to provide a safe, exciting, and educational environment for your child to explore, learn, and grow. Our expert team of guides and educators will ensure that your child has a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will leave them with lifelong memories.


Here's what your child can expect at our winter camps:
Engaging and exciting outdoor activities that build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills.

• Rock climbing is now part of the Olympics as a recognized sport hence gaining immense popularity recently. As we have started with the first artificial rock climbing gym of Dehradun 
• A chance to learn about the environment and wildlife through fun and interactive sessions.
• Opportunities to explore the beautiful natural surroundings of Dehradun and make new friends.
• Access to experienced and knowledgeable guides who will ensure your child's safety and well-being.

We offer two different winter camps to cater to the needs and interests of children of different age groups:
Our first camp is a 5-day program designed for children aged 7-12 while the second is for children aged 13-19. It will be held on various dates in December- January and features a wide range of activities that will keep your child engaged and entertained throughout their stay.

 DETAILS

  • OUTDOOR EDUCATION- Through this exercise, kids will learn the value of the great outdoors, nature, and the environment. The natural world will be taught to children, along with information regarding its preservation.

  • TEAM BUILDING - In this activity, children will engage in teamwork activities and challenges that will help them improve their ability to cooperate, communicate, and solve problems.

  • RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES- This category covers a variety of pastimes that kids can enjoy, such as games, sports, and arts and crafts.

  • SLACKLINING- Slacklining is a terrific exercise to strengthen your core and improve your balance because it requires you to balance on a short piece of webbing that is tensioned between two anchor points.

  • INDOOR CLIMBING- Indoor climbing teaches kids how to climb safely and correctly by having them practise on indoor climbing walls.

  • ROCK CLIMBING- Rappelling is a thrilling activity that tests children's bravery and courage because it entails descending from a high height using ropes and harnesses.

  • RAPPELLING- Activities that promote neuromuscular coordination, balance, and agility, such as the balance beam, obstacle course, and agility ladder, fall under the category of neuromuscular and coordination activities.

  • NEUROMUSCULAR & COORDINATION ACTIVITIES- Activities that promote neuromuscular coordination, balance, and agility, such as the balance beam, obstacle course, and agility ladder, fall under the category of neuromuscular and coordination activities.

  • BOULDERING- Bouldering is a sort of rock climbing that includes scaling low-height boulders without the use of ropes or harnesses. Bouldering is a fantastic method to improve your strength, stamina, and problem-solving abilities.

  • HIKING- Hiking is an outdoor activity where kids may learn about the environment and get a nice workout while strolling through the wilderness on trails and routes.

  • ICE BREAKING ACTIVITIES- Activities for breaking the ice are enjoyable and participatory games that are intended to help kids get to know one another and form bonds.

  • JUNGLE SURVIVAL- This activity teaches you how to survive in the wild by making shelters, making fire, and collecting food and water. It's a terrific method to improve your problem-solving, resilience, and independence.

  • MAP READING- Reading and interpreting maps is a skill that can be learned in this exercise and is useful for exploration and travel.

  • BASIC FIRST AID- This activity teaches the fundamental first aid abilities that are necessary for outdoor activity safety, such as CPR, bandaging, and treating minor injuries.

  • HAZARD MANAGEMENT- This exercise teaches participants how to recognise and control outdoor dangers, which is crucial for safety and risk management.

  • What are the reporting and dispersal time?
    Reporting time on day 0 (that is the day before the camp starts) is latest by 6 pm. The timing of dispersal is 3 pm on last day of camp (that is, day 5 for junior wing and day 7 for senior wing).
  • Is transport available?
    You need to drop your ward on day 0 and pick them up on the last day, from the winter campsite. There will be a transport available for them on the rest of the days whenever their schedule demands them to travel. Cost of this is included in the overall fees.
  • Is the safety of our child assured?
    We have ceritified and professional staff who will be organising all the activities. Moreover the staff to participant ratio will be ranging from 1:5 to 1:7 with staff and depending on the size of the group.
  • Will there be a medical professional at the camp?
    Yes, positively.
  • ?The winter camps are coed or divided by genders
    Boys and girls have common activities at our summer programmes. Rest assured that everyone's safety and comfort are our top priorities.
  • Are there any limitations on activities based on age?
    Even though we work to make our events accessible to people of all ages, certain activities may have age limitations or other prerequisites. Our choices on participation in each activity are based on safety and what is best for the kids.
  • Are there professionals on staff to oversee the winter camps?
    Absolutely! Our camps are run by a team of knowledgeable educators and guides with a wealth of experience in outdoor activities. Instructors are ceritified in mountaineering, first aid and outdoor education.
  • Will you provide a certificate?
    This is an outdoor learning programs covering several aspects of the outdoors and individual building skills. Everyone will be provided with a participation and experience certificate.
  • Will there be a night halt?
    Yes, this is a residential camp.

  • ?Is it okay for my kid to bring electronics like a phone or tablet
    We respectfully ask that children leave electronic gadgets at home as our winter camps promote a tech-free atmosphere. They are able to interact fully with us and the camp activities as a result.
